Bedrock Bar & Grill, SOMERSET SINGAPORE

Bedrock Bar & Grill is tucked right in the heart of Singapore's main shopping district Orchard Road and located right next to SOMERSET 313 shopping center, Bedrock Bar & Grill is the new faces on the culinary block.

It spans around 2,200 sq ft at Pan Pacific Serviced Suites (right opposite ORIOLE, which i have blogged about before), this modern grill restaurant serves great food that can satisfy any palettes from the meat lovers right to the seafood lovers and definitely even better drinks - the sleek bar is devoted to only premium whisky and classic cocktails. Note that Bedrock specializes in steak and if you are craving for a decent piece of steak, do give Bedrock a visit.

It is always difficult to decide on where to eat with the wide array of choices to dine at in Singapore, but i definitely recommend Bedrock purely because it is convenient, the food is superb albeit slightly pricey but nonetheless and the service is definitely good. I guess it comes hand in hand with the price you pay for dining there.
To get to our cosy booth, we have to pass the semi-open kitchen featuring an oven that is about to release our fragrant pita-type flat bread, to be served with softly roasted whole garlic that is immersed in oil. The ambiance of the place is very cosy and dimly litted. Great place for a date or just gathering with your friends.
For starters, we were served freshly baked "naan" looking bread, that tasted awfully good. Spread on some butter and rub it against the roasted garlic immersed in oil, you got yourself a simple orgasmic garlic bread wannabe. But of course, try not to finish all the bread as it will definitely fill you up.
For the mains, my friend had the steak burger.

Chopped steak & bacon burger, a laudable feats of 100% US prime angus beef, portobello mushroom, hot whisky mustard, aged cheddar and fries.
The thick chunk of meat Pattie was accompanied with bacon strips, mustard, mushroom, sunny side up egg ...verdict! absolutely delicious burger! The meat was medium rare as requested.

As for me, i wanted something slightly lighter so i opted for a medium rare tuna steak with cracked black pepper.

As you can see from the picture, it was very well medium rare and i absolutely love the freshness of the tuna that melted in my mouth. Taste wise, it was a good blend of salty and peppery spicy which my palate absolutely love.

As for dessert with the Bedrock Apple Crumble!

Oven-baked apples, covered with walnut streusel and vanilla-beaned ice cream, it was what Apple Crumble dreams are made of. This is by far the best apple crumble i have tasted. Please order in advance as it takes at least 20-25 minutes to prepare. The combination of the freshly baked crumble and the cold vanilla beaned ice cream is heavenly.

Overall, my dining experience at Bedrock was good and i would definitely be a returning customer. I enjoyed my meal, the service and hoping to try out other dishes that they offer. The dinner amounted to SGD109 for 2 mains, one dessert and two non alcoholic drink, plus service charge and GST. For the price and food that is offered, please visit their website. At the main time, time to hunt for other eateries around town. As for now, have a blessed week ahead and stay safe with the Raya weekend around the corner. For the muslim readers "Selamat Hari Raya, Maaf Zahir dan Batin" in advance. Have a good celebration with family and friends.
