Mandarin Kitchen Seafood Restaurant @ Bayswater

Image
Seemingly untouched by any of the newfound trendiness of Chinese cooking in London, Mandarin Kitchen relies on an established reputation for seafood to fill its cavernous premises. The restaurant has been a landmark for well over a quarter of a century. Still, the banquettes are comfy, and Chinese business people continue to lunch at the large round tables, perhaps choosing the renowned lobster with noodles (which is usually expertly cooked). Tourists feature strongly in the evenings.

Bak kut teh ("pork rib tea"), this is quite a popular family get togethers dinner meal especially during rainy season. Soy sauce (usually light soy sauce, but dark soy sauce is also offered) is preferred as a condiment, with which chopped chilli padi and minced garlic is taken together. Chinese tea of various kind is also usually served in the belief that it dilutes or dissolves the copious amount of fat consumed in this pork-laden dish

Every Yogi must watch this..The Fuzz between Muscle Tissue and Fascia

Image
“The fuzz” are strands of cobweb-like connective tissue that develop between the muscles and between muscle groups when we fail to move our bodies around in all the magnificent ways it can move. These strands of connective tissue multiply and bind together during long periods of inactivity (like when we sleep). As time passes the fascia thickens and hardens between those once juicy, smooth and slippery surfaces rendering them less and less able to slide and glide past one another. As the individual muscles lose their ability to move freely and independently of other muscles our movements become less multi-dimensional and refined. We call this ‘stiff’.

Che Chai Mien and Street Food in Hong Kong

Image
Che Chai Noodle is one of the famous noodles in Hong Kong. Che Chai noodle is most famous in Sai Kung area and you must try if you happen to visit there. Che Chai noodles" is also a Hong Kong traditional food. It was meant to be a very cheap kind of food for working-class, so the ingredients are something very cheap, such as fish balls, radishes, squids and etc. You can choose different ingredients for different noodles. With the improved living standards, the need of cheap food became less necessary, but this kind of noodles are still popular among the more upper-class customers. So today the ingredients have a larger variety, less regard of the price. For the noodles, there are many different choices, such as: rough, vermicelli, rice noodles, instant noodles, or udon.

Trucks selling cendol and rojak are still extremely popular. One can often see a long line of cars parked along busy roads, just for that refreshing shaved ice and hot crispy fritters. If the crowd does not come to you, it is never a bad idea to go to them. Some restaurants send their vans to office areas dishing out hot food.
