FOOD VILLAGE STEAMBOAT @ 1BORNEO

Image
Food Village Steamboat I'm going to 1Borneo for dinner tonight, cause is nearby, thinking of something with soup, got it 'Steamboat'. I've never step into the Food Village in 1Borneo before because the food doesn't seem appealing to me, but I'm going to try their steamboat buffet tonight, pay at the counter then they serve. Not cheap though, RM21 per person, I ordered tom yum soup, not much flavour, just for the crave of steamboat so I try out this place, not much choices, refilling very slow. Not a great dinner, just to fill up my stomach and satisfied my craving of having soup and steamboat, that was all I can say....hmmm... not everyday good food though!   Seafood, so so   Vegetables better     Buffet Selections Rating Food: 2/5 Services: 2/5 Cleanliness: 2/5

MARIO PIZZA @ 1BORNEO

Image
How many times did you pass by Mario Pizza's stall and wonder whether it tastes good? Honestly, I've never even bother to stop-by this stall whenever I was in 1Borneo until Jack told me it is one of his favourite. My first encounter was during one of my outing with Jack when he dragged me to this stall just to get his favourite margherita pizza. To my surprises, their margherita pizza really tasted good especially after they reheated it. The crust is still crispy and the cheese is melted once the pizza is reheat. Holding the hot pizza while doing our window shopping, I really couldn't resists myself from taking a second bite. Now, I will always find a chance to drop-by at this stall for some snack if I'm not too full or else I will get some takeaway. Kedai Kopi Sincere @ Jln Tuaran(next to Kian Kok School)

Image
Since we are from KL, it is not unusual if we are craving for Wantan Noodles. Recommended by Jack, Kedai Kopi Sincere is one of the place that serves good Wantan Noodles, although it is not the best in town. It is located at the shoplots next to Kian Kok School, same row of shops with Thai Seng Supermarket. The restaurant will be packed with people during lunch time. Besides Wantan Noodles, they do serves Duck Rice, Chicken Rice, Economy Rice, Hokkien Mee and other variety of fried noodles. They are also famous with their 'Loh Mee' . You will also noticed a stall selling local pastry and a stall selling dim sum in the restaurant. We ordered a Wantan Noodles and some dim sum for our breakfast. The Wantan Noodles really tasted good and the dim sum was not bad as well. Wantan Noodles RM4.50 (really tasted good..remind me of KL's wantan noodles) Yummy!! Gunter's Gasthaus @ Jalan Tuaran

Image
Every time I passed by Jalan Tuaran, I saw the signboard of Gunter's Gasthaus Restaurant somewhere by the road side. I'm always curious about the dishes they serves and asked Jack about it. Jack told me it is a home-style german's restaurant. They used to charge a flat rate, for eat all you can on their day's special. But nowadays, during the promotion period which is 11.30am to 2.00pm(lunch) and 6.30pm to 8.00pm (dinner), you can order 3 dishes from a menu per person and only pay for the most expensive dish you've ordered. We missed out the promotion period when we reached but it didn't stopped us from dining there. Accidentally, we bumped into Danny and Christine, so, we joined together for dinner. Chicken Cordon Bleu RM25.99 (add another RM5.99 for set that comes with mushroom soup, drink and dessert) The chicken is coated with eggs and pan-fried.It is so delicious to eat together with the sauces and go well with the butter rice(comes with it) too.

Restaurant Kin Hwa @ Inanam

Image
Do you know where is the best pork roast and duck roast in town? Honestly, I have no idea. However, in Inanam, at the middle row of shops near the bus station (which is the same row of shops with 7Eleven), there is a place to have good pork roast and duck roast. Instead of heading to the town for food hunting, we decided to venture into Inanam area to search for food. Lucky enough, we managed to find this Restaurant Kin Hwa which serves good duck roast, pork roast and chicken roast with rice/noodles. Also, as a bonus, we even found other famous and nice food in that area but we will only be blogging about it soon.. So, just stay tune and enjoy the photos here!!   Duck Roast (breast)   Duck roast (the meat is juicy..yummy)   Pork roast (crunchy and tasted good)   Total costs of duck roast +pork roast + rice = RM11   Ratings: Food: 4/5 Service: 4/5 Cleanliness: 4/5

Qing Bou Leong Bingo House @ Damai

Image
After having a bad times being scolded by the Luk Luk's boss, we decided to have something sweet and brighten up our mood. We went to Qing Bou Leong Bingo House at Damai, located next to Mark's Bakery (same row of shops with Tong Heng). This dessert house (served no pork) is also selling a variety of halal food such as noodles, rice and ba chang. The place is clean and the staffs are friendly. We ordered a Qing Bou Leong, Bubur Chacha and Mango and Honeydew (Ice). Bubur Chacha (not too sweet and quite nice) Qing Bou Leong (a bit tasteless) Mango and Honeydew (this is special and quite nice, not too sweet) Total costs = RM10.30 Ratings: Food: 3/5 Service: 4/5 Cleanliness: 5/5
