Well, I'm going to confess here, my 1st food review for New York New York which I posted in Oct'09 was actually based on my first visit during the opening of the shop. The blog post was actually re-posted from my old blog. Since the food wasn't that good, I felt reluctant to go back again for a second visit. Yup, I know it wouldn't be fair to New York New York as I had re-posted my old review in the blog. I should apologize here if the review had been misleading.

Okay, to be fair, we revisited New York New York on Saturday. The restaurant did some new decor and it is more comfortable now compared to my first visit. The service was good and they are always some staffs who are standing near the entrance to stand-by. They seems like added-in some new dishes to their menu as well. After taking a long time looking at the menu, we decided to ordered their house specialties. Forget about the Giant Yankee Burger, we ordered the Bacon Cheese Burger and Cape Style's Fish and Chips.

 Cape Style Fish'n'Chip, RM16.90
The fried fish was very oily. Crispy but the taste was just average. Since Sabah is famous for it fresh seafood, eventually I put a high expectation on the fish used for the Fish and Chips. However, eight of of ten times, my expectation had always been let down. Since NYNY is only a food chain from Singapore, without exception, only Dory fish was used for the Fish and Chips.

Bacon Cheese Burger, RM18.50
I'm happy that they did improved their burgers and fries. Compared to my first visit, the beef patty was thicker and equally done. The thin-cut fries was longer and tasted better than last time. However, I still preferred the burger at Firefly. Honestly, the burger's taste here reminded me of Ramly's burger, probably a better quality Ramly's burger.

Total bill: RM47.20
Okay, it is not for me to decide whether their food is good as I had only tried two dishes. Maybe you guys should give us some recommendation if you have tried anything good from NYNY. Overall, only by referring to the dishes we ordered, the taste was just average.
