Hong Kong Recipes (3rd visit) @ 1Borneo

Angeline Thursday, January 7, 2010 , , , , , ,

Oh yeah! Dinner at Hong Kong Recipe (HKR1 and HKR2) again, I really can't find any good restaurant in 1Borneo, this can be considered the best in 1Borneo but lousy service, everytime just get worst. This time I order Steamed fish Teochew style, RM26 for whole garoupa fish-cheap, but taste wise so-so and some inner part  near the bone of the fish not fully cooked-still can see the raw part, I find all the dishes too salty and the Braised Pork Belly-not good at all cause the preserved vegetable was too sour, it supposed to have a bit of sweet and salty taste, but all I taste was sour, I spitted it out, tasted really funny, luckily I don't get stomach upset after the meal. Claypot Tofu was too salty, the only dish I find ok were Fook Chow Fish Ball Soup and Kai Lan with Oyster sauce. Whole dinner cost RM80++, can't remember the exact damages. If you decided to eat here, better order those Ala-carte meal- rice or noodle- choose some of their specialty, taste good, come faster and cheaper, don't order dishes cause not worth the wait for something not good.

Fook Chow Fishball Soup, RM6.00

Claypot Tofu, RM16.00

Steamed Garoupa TeoChew Style, RM26.00

Braised Pork Belly, RM18.00

Kai Lan with Oyster Sauce, RM12.00
