Danny once told us that he tried the food at Fukurou and it was quite good. Also, he mentioned about some special discounts they have during lunch and dinner time. However, when we think of Japanese food, Fukurou was the last restaurant that come to our mind and so, we never even try it before.

As we were blogging about Japanese food recently, Fukurou was highly recommended by the gym's members. As according to them, the food are really good. Besides this, we also got to know that Fukurou is actually owned by Fook Yuen's owner. Hence, we decided to check out the place. Our first visit was like love at first sight. The ambiance of the restaurant is comfortable and the contemporary interior design were used as the theme.

We ordered the bento sets which currently have 30% discount. Surprisingly, the sets are big and we can hardly finished it. The quality of the food is great. Service is good as all of the waitresses are friendly and helpful.

Fukurou Tempura Set, RM45.90

Tempura
The Tempura was crispy. It was to dipped with the sauce before we eat, to bring out more flavour. I love it. It is simply delicious.

Salad
Fresh vegetables mixed with lots of mayonnaise, definitely will be Jack's favourite but too bad that he wasn't here. The mashed potato salad tasted good too.

Salmon Sashimi
We were amazed by the thickly cut Salmon. It was fresh and really satisfying. Tantalizing my taste bud!

Chawanmushi
The egg was creamy and smooth with the strong mushroom's aroma as it was steamed with mushroom. Tasty.

Spinach in Sesame sauce
At first glance, I thought the spinach will taste terrible but I was wrong. I can't have enough of it. The sesame sauce was great. Fragrantly good and delicious.

Miso Soup with Tofu and Mushroom
Unlike the normal Miso Soup we had at other Japanese restaurant, this Miso Soup tasted better. Maybe because extra ingredients was being used.

Japanese Steamed Rice

Fukurou Chicken Teriyaki Set, RM45.90
The Chicken Teriyaki was not a disappointment too. It tasted good. According to our makan buddy, she normally skipped eating the chicken skins but this time, she polished up the whole dish including the chicken skin.

Fukurou Unagi Set, Chicken Teriyaki and Tempura Set

Fukurou Unagi Set, RM45.90
I'm a fan for Unagi. So far, this is the best Unagi I had. Thick and juicy Unagi with some sweet gravy is the best to go with rice. Yummy!! Two thumbs up!!

Sushi
My set comes with six pieces of Sushi. This time I'm really stuck with words to describe my food. Everything was good. My only qualm was my appetite wasn't big enough to fit in all the food.
