Teochew Porridge
Back in KL, I used to love eating Teochew Porridge at Cheras area. I love the Braised Duck, Braised Tofu and Braised Egg there. Not to forget, the simple dishes such as Fried Luncheon Meat and Fried Eggs with Preserved Raddish are also some of the good dishes to go with plain porridge. I can have it all day long.

It had been a long time since the last time I saw a Teochew Porridge's stall in KK. When Angeline suggested to go to the Food Court at Beverly for the Tai Chow, I'm surprised to see a stall selling Teochew Porridge there. Of course we wouldn't let go the chance of having the Teochew Porridge! We ordered some dishes from the Tai Chow's stall and ordered the Teochew Porridge.

Mei Chai Chu Rou (Pork with Preserved Mustard)
The Mei Chai Chu Rou is kind of salty but did go well with the plain porridge. It would tasted better if it was a little bit sweeter.

Fried eggs with Preserved Raddish

Braised Tofu in five spice herbs
The Braised Tofu is quite nice. The sauce had a strong herbs taste. The tofu tasted a bit salty which go well with plain porridge.

Other dishes from Tai Chow Stall

Pork Rib Mongolian Style
The Pork Rib Mongolian Style is kind of special. The deep fried pork ribs was coated with sesame sauce. It was fragrantly good.

Stir-Fried Choy Sum

Steamed Tilapia in Bean Paste Sauce
This is one of the best Steamed Tilapia with Bean Paste Sauce that I had in KK. The fish is fresh and well-cooked. The sauce is great and delicious. It was sweet and a bit sourish but did not outshine the freshness of the fish.

Tonight Dinner RM55.60 (everything in and including drinks)

Western Food Stall

Dim Sum and Fried Kuey Teow Stalls

Today Meditation:
There are no secrets of success. Success is doing the things you know you should do. Success is not doing the things you know you shouldn’t do. Success is not limited to any one area of your life. It encompasses all the facets of your relationships: as parent, as wife or husband, as citizen, neighbor, worker and all of the others. Success is not confined to any one part of your personality but is related to the development of all the parts: body, mind, heart and spirit. It is making the most of your total self.
