When comes to Bak Kut Teh, I always preferred mine to be served in a Claypot. I like the feeling of having steaming hot soup. Among the few BKT's place at Gaya Street, Kam Kee BKT is my all time favourite. To me, the taste of their BKT is more similar to those BKT in KL.
Yau Char Kwai
Taufupok
Rice
Bak Kut Teh (Original flavour)
The BKT soup had mild herbs taste, not too strong, just the way I like it. The pork, pork ribs and pork intestines were all tender and tasted good.
Pork Kidney and Liver with Ginger and Wine
The Pork Kidney and Liver with Ginger and Wine was one of my favourite dish. The strong gingery taste and Chinese Rice Wine taste eliminated the unpleasant smell of the pork kidney and liver. It made the dish tasted so good.
Vegetables with Oyster Sauce
After the BKT, I went to Baba & Nyonya for Cendul.
Cendul RM4.00
The Cendul was delicious. Creamy coconut milk with pandan's flavour Cendul, mixed with Gula Melaka. Fragrantly good yet not too sweet.
Oh yah, by the way, Baba & Nyonya is located at Fook Yuen Cafe, next to Oldtown Cafe. It was a new eateries place at Gaya Street.
