Sumi-Ka is a Japanese grill house specializing in Yakitori (Japanese style grilled chicken skewer) owned by a Japanese. With it open kitchen, you can opt to sit along the counter-top to watch the Japanese chef in action. Well, the place is obviously filled with smokes from the grill.
Gyutan (Ox Tongue)
It had just the right texture. Smooth and tender. One of our favourite order of the night.
Chicken Wings
The Chicken Wing was grilled to perfection. Crispy skin with juicy meat. No marination, lightly seasoned with salt.
Nankotu (Chicken Cartilage)
Nankotu (chicken cartilage), which is actually the piece of “soft bone” from the center of chicken breast. The texture was superb, slightly crunchy and mixed perfectly with the little bit of meat on it.
Nankotu, Kawa (Chicken skin) and Bacon wrapped with Fish Roe
Kawa (chicken skin) is a not-to-be-miss dish. Crispy and flavourful. Just  couldn't have enough of it.
Mentaimaki (Bacon Wrapped with Fish Roe)
The Bacon wrapped with Fish Roe was really special. It tasted pretty good. No complain.
Bacon wrapped with Fish Roe
Tanmiso (with miso) and Gyutan (Ox Tongue)
I'm never a fan of innards, but the Ox Tongue tasted fine to me. Kind of liking it.
Lamb Yakitori, Marinated Beef Ribs and Chicken Skin
The Lamb Yakitori was awesome while the Beef Ribs was flavourful with tender meat.
Chicken Meatball
The Chicken Meatball was delicious. Flavourful as it was drenched in Tare sauce.
Enokimaki (Enoki Mushroom wrapped with Bacon)
YakiOnigiri
The skewer prices ranging from RM3.00 to RM9.00 per stick. Sorry for not being able to provide the exact price for each type of skewer accurately.
