Jothy's Fish Head Curry Banana Leaves Restaurant had been featured in Lonely Planet as well as some locals magazines before. Offers the South Indian authentic cuisine, the restaurant is famed for its Fish Head Curry and Briyani fragrant rice served on the banana leaves. Particularly, I love the Fried Fish and Banana Leaf Rice here.

The banana leaf is used as it is believed that the hot rice will release the coating on the banana leaf, which aids in digestion. Traditionally, these dish is eaten using the hand.

Fish Curry RM 6.00 (per piece)
Instead of Fish Head Curry, we had a single serving of Fish Curry. It contained a delicious flavour with the right blend of curry spices. Spicy with sweet-sour taste. Goes really well with rice.

Fried Fish RM6.00 (per piece)
Finally, it was my favourite Fried Fish. Coated with light batter, the fish was fried till really crunchy. Flavourful on its own, you just wouldn't need any sauce to go with it.

A small tip to share with fellow readers. In Malaysia, to show your appreciation after a satisfying meal, the banana leaf is fold towards you (i.e. inwards) to signify that the meal was good. Folding the opposite direction (i.e. upwards/away from you) signifies that the meal was not satisfying.
