Nasi Kandar Anak Mami @ Lintas

Nasi Kandar is a popular northern Malaysian dish, which originates from Penang. It is a meal of steamed rice which can be plain or mildly flavored, and served with a variety of curries and side dishes. In KK, Nasi Kandar is not widely available. However, it could still be find in Nasi Kandar Anak Mami which had two branches located in Bundusan and Lintas respectively.

Fortune Maker Restaurant @ Kuchai Lama

Fortune Maker Restaurant run by Patrick Lew, 46, and his wife, Chong Siew Ling, 38, the shop serves steamed Soong fish head (varieties: steamed with shredded ginger, glutinous rice wine and spicy soy bean sauce). Soong fish head is popular for its smooth flesh and it does not have the mud smell which is common freshwater fish. To eliminate the strong fishy smell, first, the fish head is immersed in a bucket of rice water with wedges of lemon to wash off the fishy smell before it goes into a steamer. A timer monitors the steaming duration. Five minutes on the dot, the fish head is removed and the juices drained out. It is only after the fish head has been drained of this liquid that the ingredients, like rice wine or sauces are added in before it is topped with shredded ginger, chilies and parsley.

The gala launch of Hennessy V.S.O.P’s new bottle was held with great elegance at DoubleTree by Hilton in Kuala Lumpur on last Friday, 18 May 2012. The ballroom was made into 2 divisions, which was a launch floor and an after-launch party lounge. Guests were all dressed predominantly in black, perhaps to reflect the elegant theme of the evening. The evening get started off in a great mood with short video clip shown, explaining briefly the concepts and ideas of Chris Bangle in the new bottle design.

The original Pontian Noodle founder is Heng Heng Noodles Shop, since 1948, had started selling wonton noodles on the streets of Pontian, Johor. Back then, it was known as Dan Dan "noodles". In 1976, Heng Heng Noodles Shop established in Parit Mesjid. In 1989, the first branch opened in Medan Ko-op, a.k.a. the JPJ branch. Pontian wonton noodle is self-made and top with the family special sauce which is a combination of tomato ketchup and other ingredients. The family recipe has been passed down and refined over three generations.

The best time to dine here is after lunch hour 2pm, less patrons, lunch hour is always pack. Easy ordering, just write it on a piece of paper available on each table, what and how many pieces you want.  The yong tau foo is price at RM1 per piece with the selection of fried sui kow, chilli, brinjal, ladies fingers, fish balls and soft white beancurd.
