Christmas with children from Agathians Shelter @ Prince Hotel & Residence Kuala Lumpur

I'm sure you've been hearing Wham's "Last Christmas" being played over and over again in shopping malls and you must have realised that all the major shopping malls have put up their beautiful and elaborate decorations. Yes, it's that time of the year again. Christmas is just around the corner. While we all think Christmas is all about gifts, a Christmas tree with beautiful ornaments and sales, there is more to Christmas than that.

Christmas is also about giving back to society what we have gained and sharing the joy of Christmas with the less fortunate. Prince Hotel and Residence Kuala Lumpur understands this well by throwing an event for the children from Agathians Shelter. It's General Manager, Mr Tim Quarm said "Christmas is about the kids and we could not be happier inviting the children from Agathians Shelter to celebrate with us again this year". The Christmas party held by the Prince Hotel & Residen Kuala Lumpur today (Saturday, 3.12.11) from 1.30pm onwards at Eccucino all day dining restaurant as part of the hotel's corporate social responsibility activities.

Prince Hotel & Residence Kuala Lumpur has been inviting the children from Agathians Shelter for the Christmas party every year since 2008. This year, 40 children from Agathians Shelter joined in the festive party along with 4 of their guardians, the management team from Prince Hotel & Residence Kuala Lumpur and hotel apartment guests. I am glad to have been invited to be part of this meaningful event and I personally laud Prince Hotel & Residence Kuala Lumpur for taking time to organise such a beautiful event.

A series of activities were prepared for the children to enjoy themselves during the party. The highlights activity was the gingerbread house decoration by the children prepared by the hotel's Executive Chef Donald Pezar. Other fun-filled activities include magical clown show, face painting and sand painting. The hotel apartment guests also prepared gift boxes for the children. The children also enjoyed a lavish buffet of traditional and innovative festive spread prepared socially by the hotel's chefs for the party.

Children from Agathians Shelter
The Agathians Shelter children will be sharing the spotlight with La Voce Choir, performing the Christmas Carol under the hotel's 20-ft Christmas tree decorated with red and gold ornaments on 22nd, 23rd and 24th December from 7:30 pm onwards. The hotel promises a Christmas that the children will remember and cherish. It is indeed a gift which no money can buy.

I am deeply touched by the sincerity of the hotel's management in organising this event for the children. I laud their efforts and I thank them for allowing me to be part of such a meaningful event.
