Royal China’s enduring success that queues still wind out every weekend. Some of London’s best dim sum, served from noon to 5pm on Saturdays and Sundays. It is normally a weekend affair where families and close friends gather. It can be rather hectic as most chinese restaurants come to life with all the hustle and bustle. A bit like the chinese version sunday brunch. It is also a tradition where the elderly gather to chill out, read newspaper and engage in lively debate. That’s also why some people also refer to dim sum as yum cha, which means drink tea. Dim sum means "touch heart" in cantonese. Depending on whom you speak to, ’touch heart’ can mean that the food is just so heart-touchingly good, or that the food comes in small bite sizes, they are like little gifts to touch your heart. Steamed dumplings are a star turn, ha gao (prawn dumpling), cheung fun (rice noodle rolls), shui mai (pork and prawn dumpling), steam spare ribs in black bean sauce (pai kuat), steamed chicken feet (kai giok), closely followed by bbq pork-stuffed buns & crispy spring rolls, although the special cheung fun packed with mixed seafood is the outright winner.
Total paid Dim Sum, GBP$68.20

Prawn Dumpling
Steamed Chicken Feet
Egg tarts
some people only eat the egg custard and for them the pastry bit is only for decoration, I gobble everything that is edible because it just tastes so good
Fried Kuey Teow
Chili Sauce
Steamed Rice Noodle with Prawn
Steamed Pork Rib
Fish Past in Chili Oil
Steamed Siu Mai
My favourite dim sum dish, most of the steamed items are served in the bamboo steamers. The pork fat give a nice rounded flavour and fresh prawn give the little cubes alot of bounciness when you bite into it. Probably the best siu mai in London. It’s really that good.
Pan Fried Radish Cake
Steamed Glutinous Dumpling
Milk Pudding with Fruits
Milk Dessert
Mango pudding wasn't visually interesting, pretty simple. You either love it or you don’t. I loves it.

Wow, I got hungry, while looking at these pictures. They look very delicious. I have been in several Paddington hotels and I must admit that their cuisine is very variable and delicious. And the hotels are very convenient. I highly recommend them.
