Yeah, my birthday night~! We have been discussed for so many places especially those one at Solaris but in the end Mr TTM aka our client & his gf, Evelyn brought me & FT to this special restaurant –Mum’s Place. I called it special not only bcuz of its nice nyonya & local food but the furniture. Yes, furniture. All the furniture, including tables, chairs, lamp, wall…. Anything in the restaurant that you fond of, you can buy it away~ and thus you can call it “Home Passions Furniture Gallery & Restaurant Mum’s Place”.
Menu

One thing that you should know is that reservation is necessary in order for you to get a nice seat. It is a very big restaurant but it is always full house too. We didn’t make any reservation but the seats that we got were not so nice.
I like the design of the restaurant
Yes, you can bring it home too if your budget is enough =)
Okay, get ready for food! TTM & Evelyn helped us to order all the
dishes since this was our first visit.
Portuguese ‘Devil’ Curry@ RM15.80/portion
-Pieces of chicken & potatoes cooked in thick spicy sauce and spices
Well, this dish was not that spicy for me and funny thing was I felt there
was a bit of ‘sardine’ taste~ and TTM also felt it :p
Fried Cencaru Fish with Chili Padi Paste & Petai
@ RM15.80 (R)
@ RM31.60 (L)
Wow~ This was really spicy! For ppl who love spicy, you hv to challenge this but
this was really nice! I love the spicy! Haha~
Cold water is just nice to cut the hot~ =p
Fried Honey Sotong@ RM11.80/portion
I personally like this dish although they said it was just so-so. It was sweet and crunchy;
my first time tried this kind of taste for sotong. It was like snack, nice~
Daun Keledek (Sweet Potatoes Leaves/Fang Shee Yip)
with Lime Juice, Dried Shrimps & Chili Padi
@ RM12.50 (R)
@ RM16.90 (L)
“Foo Yoong” Tan (Chinese-style Omelets)@ RM12.90/portion
All of our dishes~~Yummy!
TTM’s special request – sambal chili
TTM’s teh
We really enjoy our dinner especially the super spicy cencaru fish.
Too bad FT couldn’t take it~ We were full but TTM insisted to
have dessert and here we go….
Cendol with Red Beans@ RM5.30
Thai Style Water Chestnut@ RM5.30
-Water chestnut served in coconut milk & gula Melaka
Pulut Tekan@ RM5.30
-Glutinous rice served warm with ‘kaya’
Yam Pudding with Custard@ RM5.30
The desserts were not bad also. Good to try! =)
