Sandakan Kopitiam @ 88 Market Place, Kepayan

Apart from its cheap and fresh seafood, Sandakan is also famous with its Century Egg Dumpling (Pei Dan Gao) and Sandakan Springy Noodle. Most of these food were only available in Sandakan and can hardly be found elsewhere. With the recent opening of Sandakan Kopitiam in KK, we can all enjoy the great Sandakan food without the need to travel far.

Sandakan Kopitiam
88 Market Place,
88300 Kota Kinabalu
Crowded during breakfast and lunch
Loh Han Guo RM2.00
Sandakan Noodle with Char Nyuk (Fried Pork) RM4.00
Ordering the springy Sandakan Noodle is a must as it is one of the signature dish of Sandakan. The incredibly springy noodle texture mixed with delicious sauce topped with Char Nyuk (deep-fried pork marinated with fermented red beancurd) tasted really good.

Pei Dan Gao (Large) RM13.00
The Pei Dan Gai in Sandakan Kopitiam is a highly recommended dish. I was amazed by the layer of the dumpling's texture during my first bite. The century egg was nicely coated with a layer of minced pork and wrapped with dumpling skin.

Stuffed Beancurd RM3.00
Meaty beancurd puff stuffed with fish paste mixed minced pork served in soup is a side order you can find in their Menu.

Homemade Noodle Soup RM7.00
The Homemade Noodle Soup which was similar to Pan Mee consists of thickly-cut noodle, pork, prawn ball, fish maw, anchovies, pork ball, prawn and sabah vegetables. I, personally like the texture of the noodle which tasted more chewy compare to the original Pan Mee. The soup was tasty while the ingredients used was fresh and nice.
