Restoran Clan @ Sri Petaling

Angeline Friday, February 3, 2012 , , ,

Clan Restaurant is the originator of this Gai Wor Bao recipe. It's one of the famous place for dim sum in Sri Petaling, located along the first row of shop houses on your right after the BHP Petrol station. Made famous by the creation of Gai Wor Bao, which translates to 'Chicken Nest Bun'.

Restoran Clan 1

Drinks
Gai Wor Bao, RM5.00
The bao looks like a birdnest, cut opened into five pieces when served for easy consumption. Bao was fluffy and soft, goes well with the filling. The filing contained pork, chicken, onion and mushrooms in a thick gravy. At the bottom of this bao was a layered of glutinous rice that tasted like loh mai kai.

Wutao Bao, RM1.60
Bao skin or bun was fluffy and soft, with a generous amount of yam paste filling
Tausa Bao, RM1.40
I like tausa or redbean, generous filling and good bun texture.
Fried Dim Sum, RM4.20
Crispy on the outer layer and nicely flavor carrot cake...good

Fried Dim Sum, RM4.20
Wu kok (yam puff) was crispy, fluffy and with barbeque pork filling
Total paid for dim sum, RM18.10
