Fish sauce, soy sauce, rice, fresh herbs, fruits and vegetables are commonly use in Vietnamese cuisine. Vietnamese recipes utilize a diverse range of herbs, including lemongrass, mint, Vietnamese mint, long coriander and Thai basil leaves. Traditionally, Vietnamese cooking is greatly admired for its freshness of ingredients used and the healthy eating lifestyle.

With less than a week of operation, Origin Cafe had captured our attention to pay our first visit before we leave KK for the Chinese New Year celebration.
Origin Cafe feature a modern, simplistic layout where customers will be able to experience the authentic Vietnamese cuisine in an intelligent setting.
 
 
 
 
Vietnamese Coffee, RM3.50 and Tea, RM3.00
Served with sweetened condensed milk at the bottom of the cup to be stirred in, the Vietnamese Coffee is a very popular beverage among the Vietnamese. Besides the energizing effect, Vietnamese Coffee also featured great aroma with desirable flavour.
The Vietnamese Tea was not a bad option as well. It consist of nice fragrant and smooth tea taste.
Watermelon Juice, RM6.00
Blended with sweetened condensed milk, the Watermelon Juice was creamy, refreshing and yet, not too sweet.
Lemon Juice, RM6.00
Highly recommended by the founder of Origin Cafe, the Lemon Juice was good. Creamy, sweet and sourish while refreshing as well.

Fried Spring Roll, RM5.00 for a set of 3 pieces
Deep-fried spring roll stuffed with minced meat/chicken, vermicelli noodle, carrot and wood ear mushroom.
Dipped into a spicy-sourish sauce, the spring roll tasted incredibly flavourful. A highly recommended dish!

Beef Baguette, RM6.50
Vietnamese baguette or French bread containing beef, Vietnamese mayonnaise, pickled daikon, pickled carrot, and cucumber slices. It is a very delicious dish. The special sauce was the secret behind the good taste of the baguette.
Special Chili sauce
(Made from Chili Padi and Big Chili)

Beef Noodle (Brisket), RM8.00
Noodle soup with a rich, clear broth made from a long boiling of meat and spices, served with beef briskets and fresh vegetables, it is one of the signature dish of Origin Cafe. The sweet-savoury broth was perfectly done while the rice noodle (specially imported from Vietnam) tasted really smooth and light.
