Appetizer Counter
Back in KL, Shangrila Hotel's Buffet used to be Angeline's favourite and my favourite because of the choices available. However, after we relocated to KK, Shangrila Hotel's Buffet was the last in our mind when comes to buffet. Compared to KL, Cafe TATU's buffet had lesser choices. Despite that some of the dishes do tasted good, the overall taste of the food were just average.

Anyway, Jack and I received a special promotional discount from the bank to dine at Cafe TATU. Hence, we went. It was almost a year ago since the last time I dine at Cafe TATU. First glance at the place, it looks just the same as it used to be.

The weekend that we went was exceptionally crowded. Probably it was due to the promotion. However, food were replenished really fast and the seafood served were really fresh.
One of the most satisfying dish of the night was the Big Fat Fresh Prawns. It was juicy and sweet.
Noodle Soup and Pasta Counter
Due to the heavy crowds, the Pasta that Jack ordered wasn't really good. The cream sauce tasted quite bland.

The Lamb Kebab was left unattended for a long time, so, it looks quite dry. Most of the dishes at the Indian's food counter was dry. I tried the Naan, Nasi Briyani and Lamb Tandoori but it was too dry that I couldn't finish it.

Food that we picked
Some of the dishes that tasted good were the Prawn Curry, Chicken Skewed and Oxtail with Dark Sauce.
Teppanyaki Counter
Jack was tempted to ordered a Fried Koay Teow after he saw most of the patrons ordered the Fried Noodle. It tasted good with savoury wok taste. Flavourful but a little bit too salty to my liking.
Dessert Counter
The best part of having buffet was the unlimited Dessert. I personally love the dessert at Shangrila Hotel. The Chocolate Cake, Creme Brule, Cheese Cake, Pannacotta...tasted heavenly good.
However, the Ice Cream just tasted average. It tasted more like Gardenia Ice Cream to me.
Finally, we ended our meal with a coffee. Jack ordered the Cappucino while I ordered the Black Coffee. Oh yah, almost forgotten to mention, due to the promotion, we were forced to ordered the Spritzer water instead of having plain water. No plain water were serve on that night.
