Kota Kinabalu Food Fest Press Conference @ The English Tea House, Perdana Park



The Kota Kinabalu Food Festival returns for the 2nd time with a bang in 2012 with the launch of its Opening Bazaar, which officially begins this Saturday, 3 March 2012 from 12pm to 8pm at Suria Sabah. The festival itself will then continue for 2 weeks until 18 March 2012.


 
The bazaar is free to attend and will showcase booths run by the festival's 30 participating restaurants. The restaurants represent a wide range of cuisines, including Malay, Chineses, British, French, Indian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Spanish and more.

The opening bazaar will be graced by the presence of the Mayor of Kota Kinabalu, Datuk Abidin Madingkir, who has shown his full support for the event along with Kota Kinabalu City Hall. The State Minister of Tourism, Culture, and Environment, Datuk Masidi Manjun, will officiate a separate event, the closing Cocktail, towards the end of the festival period.

Entrance to the KK Food Fest 2012's opening Bazaar is free of charge and highlights of the event include demonstration of molecular gastronomy by Chef Maurizo Ferraiuolo of the English Tea House and Restaurant and taste the result of the cooking itself.

The event is organized by LifeAndStyle.com.my and is endorsed by the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Environment Sabah.  The official media partners are Borneo Insider's Guide (BIG), Breeze and MyAds. The official radio station is Suria FM Sabah.
