Hong Kong's popular dessert chain Hui Lau Shan opened its fourth outlet at Pavilion recently. The name Hui Lau San was name after a famous Chinese physician in ancient time. Initially, the chain was selling only herbal jelly and teas in 1960s. Later fresh fruits and juices were added to the menu. HLS chief executive officer William Chew said HLS was going to invest RM10 million in stages for all chains in Malaysia, there will another 26 outlets coming up in the peninsular by March 2014. They will obtain halal certificate next year to cater to Muslim customers. HLS's signature items include fruit dessert, stewed dessert, traditional herbal jelly, fruitiest jelly, mango mochi, curry combo and signature sauce radish cake. Desserts price ranges from RM7.90 to RM14.90
