Uncle Lim's Cafe @ Subang Parade

Angeline Wednesday, November 16, 2011 , , ,

Uncle Lim’s is a modernize Kopitiam whilst preserving its old charm, so that it can take us into the future instead of fading away into oblivion. Kopitiam had long been the social focal point for the peoples of this region. Leisure time was enjoyed with friends over cups of freshly brewed aromatic kopi together with a wholesome and affordable traditional fare. The cafe has become a culture in Malaysia for all races, whether we choose to call it a Kopitiam, a Kedai Kopi or a Mamak Stall, these outlets have long been providing us with various traditional food.

Roti Bakar
A traditional roti slices is toasted over charcoal ember till golden brown, crisp slice of toast with a soft centre. A good helping of home-made kaya is spread on one slice and premium grade Australian butter on the other slice. Syiok...Thumbs up!

Half-boiled Eggs
Farm eggs are scalded to perfection, top it with premium grade light soya sauce and a dash of pepper and the result is a hot favourite among the young and old. How else can one explain the continual orders of this item all day long.

Wholemeal Roti Bakar
A healthier version of the popular Roti Bakar, toasted over charcoal embers for a golden brown, crispy bite on the outside and soft center for a mealy taste on the inside.
