Sleeping on the floor has its own set of benefits that you don’t want to ignore

Sleeping on the floor reduces back pain cause it put your spine to its natural posture, so your spine gets a chance to realign itself. One of the reasons of lower back pain is due to pinched nerves or a bone dislocation.

Pain-related problems in the spine happen due to the misalignment of the hips and shoulder. When you sleep naturally on the ground, it helps align the hips with shoulders in a better way. Sleeping on the floor helps improve the alignment of your hips and shoulders, and reduces the pain. Sleeping on a straight wooden floor, you are getting the perfect solution to realign your shoulders. Your spine holds your central nervous system, it is directly linked to the brain. When you maintain a good posture, you will have a good and healthy spine. Chances of badly positioned backbone are very much reduced.
When you sleep on the floor, you are giving your body adequate room to stretch naturally. Mattresses are an enemy to the body’s natural alignment cause it makes the hips sink in and the lower back to collapse. When you sleep on the floor, there is no slouching and no sinking. You sleep naturally just the way your body demands. Your sleeping position on the back works best on the floor. Sleeping on the side forces your hip flexors and hamstrings to tighten over time, and this leads to additional pain. Sleeping on the floor help improve posture as it forces your back, neck, and the head into proper alignment, which help correct your posture.
Insomnia often cause by a bad sleeping surface. If your mattress is giving you sleep troubles, sleeping on the floor could be the solution, it might be discomfort at the beginning but initially your body will adjust and adapt to it. There is less of ‘tossing and turning’ around if you sleep on the floor. It also helps you to wake up early and gives you a whole lot of benefits. Reduce sleep disturbance by preventing body to get overheat from heat expelled from the body during sleep that later get trapped in the material of the mattress heating up the surface of the mattress, make you feel hotter. Advisable to use a thin pillow to elevate your head a bit or use your arm to elevate your head to avoid neck ache when wake up.
Experiment with different positions and choose what works for you.. Ensure you are not sleeping in too much pain. The spine should be properly aligned.

**Pregnant woman is not recommended to sleep on the floor, but is suggested to sleep on a firm mattress. Sleeping on the floor means sitting down and getting up, both of which could be taxing during pregnancy.
