Hua Xing Restaurant @ Sungei Way

Hua Xing Restaurant located in a complex on the first floor behind the main road, this location look a bit scary if you're going alone, it was a quite area. This restaurant that has been around for a very lont time, is still a hot favorite among old timer. At the air conditioned dining area, it is always packed with people during dinner time. We ordered most of their specialties and just waited for the food to come. Their Hokkien cuisine is really famous and has never been short of endorsements from local celebrities. Hua Xing has recently re-laminated their newspaper cuttings and wall photo-menu!

Hokkien braised pork with alkaline white cake (Fung Yuk Pork with Kan Sui Kow), RM17.00
Braised with dark soy sauce and Chinese spices serve in a claypot, the pork was sinfully good. The fat of braised pork will just melt in the mouth. The chewy white cakes were an acquired taste, must eat it by dipping the house made soft cubed alkaline white cake into the thick soy sauce gravy with a piece of pork belly. Must try dish!!!
