Cherry Restaurant @ Inanam

Strategically placed at the busiest road linking Inanam and City centre is a nice and cozy restaurant that has stood the test of time and have gone through a major and modern facelift. Cherry Club which it was known before has modernised its namesake to just Cherry, is a place more famously known for its entertainment unit as well as a place where people to win a fastlane ticket to riches.

Cherry Restaurant @ Inanam
No.28, Mile 5 1/2, Jalan Tuaran,
Inanam, 88300 Kota Kinabalu.
Tel: 088-423718/ 088-429377

Elegant and comfortable dining area
But the team at Everyday Food I Love need neither both, and decide to explore, the dinning experience instead. The good quality of their food have long been spread through murmurs and low tone whispers, perhaps not because of lack of confidence in their tastebud, but more because Cherry is mentioned at the same breath as dodgy entertainment, and gambling den, thus frowned upon by society. Yet their restaurant is where an honest and decent person can enjoy good meal, great ambiance, and at a price that will put rich papas, old part of towns and train stations to shame.
Take escalator to lobby or take lift to get directly to Cherry Restaurant located on the 1st Floor, great for lazy legs, yeah, true blue KKians will love this.
Basement Parking
Ample parking space downstairs to make your trip to Cherry more anonymous, even if your aim is just for the yummy food 2 floors up.
Claypot Beancurd, RM10.00

A decent portion with tasty gravy, and fresh ingredients (except for the fish), this dish will liven up a boring rice any time of the day (or night)
Seafood and Salted Fish Fried Rice, RM8.00

Fragrantly stir fried, and the chunky bits of salted fish adds life to the fried rice. And rest assured the salted fish has no retention of sea smell, so either it was deep fried before hand, or its the more pricey variant.

Watan Hor, RM8.00

The thick egg gravy, fresh shrimps and flat noodles was very delicious, retained thickness even after it cooled down a little. Nicely executed, the same cannot be said for many eateries in KK. So this was a good dish.

Chicken Chop Rice, RM8.00

We tip our hats to the chef on this one. We begin with the sauce, sweet, savoury and just the right pang of sour, the onions were sauteed yet retaining a little bit of firmness. The chicken was crunchy and was in abundance. Nice to see and even better to the taste bud. Well executed.

Total paid for dinner, RM41.20
