Ibunda's food is clever and elegant. It's lie within the presentation and everything has been clearly thought through. This is silver service Malay food and it's been a long time coming. This is how food should be served. The concept of Malay fine dining may sound superfluous to most Malaysians because as far as traditionals go, we are used to indulging in simple, full-flavoured Malay dishes in our neighbourhood "warung". Who would have the best expertise to judge food? Why, the chefs, of course. There is no higher honour for a restaurant than to be complimented by chefs, the people who know exactly what good food and service is all about, in a peer review.
