As well as offering travellers greater flexibility to blend the boundaries between business and leisure, Hotel Jen Tanglin Singapore is pioneering in their support of small and local businesses – the meticulously handcrafted artisan aprons worn by the restaurant team members is testament to this as well as showcasing upcoming brands from the local FnB scene.”
Mr. Clifford Weiner - General Manager of Hotel Jen Tanglin Singapore
Mr. Weiner was appointed as General Manager of the hotel in 2013. He led the rebranding of Traders Hotel, Singapore to Hotel Jen Tanglin Singapore, and oversees the operation of the 546-room hotel. Traders Hotel, Singapore is the first Traders property to undergo a global rebranding exercise.

He joined the Shangri-La Group in 2010 as Executive Assistant Manager-Food and Beverage at Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore. Next, he was promoted to Resident Manager at Shangri-La Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, before moving to Traders.

An advocate for free-spirited thinking to push existing boundaries and introduce new ideas, Mr. Weiner is currently building on the property’s 19-year heritage to create a refreshed and invigorating hotel environment under the Hotel Jen brand.
Mr. Weiner comes from a family of hoteliers in Switzerland’s Engadin Valley, and has a personal passion for cooking and culinary excellence which started from an early age.

Hotel Jen has undergone this extensive $SGD45 million makeover to transition from Traders Hotel Singapore. The fresh and contemporary hotel, designed to attract the same highly valued business and leisure traveller, now reflects a modern functional design concept that removes many of the common pain points of today’s travellers – whether individuals, families or groups.
Key highlights that reflect the needs of today’s modern traveller include:
New contemporary guest rooms
None of the 565 rooms are the same – with four contemporary locally curated wallpaper designs highlighting a Singapore theme (bicycle, orchid, goldfish and shop house). Each room includes thoughtful touches such as: free WiFi, USB charger outlets, high pressure walk-in showers, and king-sized “floating” beds with 300-thread count linen. Executive suites also include a pull-out sofa bed, a small pantry, a microwave and a SMEG fridge. The 18 Storey hotel also boasts a large, chic and vibrantly designed Club Lounge located on the 17th floor with open views of the nearby residential neighbourhood full of lush greenery, offering a wide variety of healthy breakfast items and a range of local and international cocktails and canapes in the evening becoming fast the most popular area of the hotel.
