FYI, Kudos Bistro is rated #Ranked 1 of 167 restaurant in Kota Kinabalu by Tripadvisor. We have always loved Kudos Bistro with its classy ambiance and really good food. So it was our pleasure when the gracious proprietor of this fine eatery invited to review some of their new menu. Read on to find out   the many exciting food to come.

Starter
 
Bruschetta with Roasted Baby Tomatoes RM9.00
First off we had the Bruschetta, a rather large and thick slice of french loaf topped with a generous amount of cherry tomatoes, a little bit of sliced garlic and drizzled with olive oil infused with herbs. The loaf itself owas crunchy but still soft enough to be enjoyed, while the fresh tomatoes were sweet. The infused oil gives the bruschetta a good fragrance while a tinge of saltiness comes from the garlic.
 
 
Marco's Pizza RM36.00
Next off, we had Marco's pizza, a nice thin crust which was crunchy and firm. The crust holds a formidable topping of mushroom, fresh tomatoes, chicken, herby tomato sauce base, chunky pineapple, olives and mozzarella cheese. Topping was really tasty and aromatic, while the meat, olives, pineapple and mushroom had an alternate savoury and sweetness that goes well with the slightly acidic tomato sauce base and sweet mozzarella. Overall, it has a nice munch of soft toppings with the crunchiness and firmness of the crust.
 
 
 
Fettucine Fruitti Dimare RM36.00
This attractive dish is Fettucine, smothered in rich cream sauce, laced with generous amount of succulent shrimps, fresh mushrooms and poured with a pinch of chopped herbs. The pasta was al dente, firm and chewy, while the fresh shrimp was sweet and firm and so was the mushroom. All this sweetness, was nicely mixed with the savory sauce.
 
 
 
Salmon Fishcakes RM16.00
We also had the fish cakes, but done in continental style. To start off, it is made from salmon, then breaded and deepfried. The end result, a fragrant salmon with a crunchy outer crust. It comes with a side of fresh lettuce salad and dressing. A Complete meal on its own, very healthy and hearty indeed.
 
 
Roasted Chicken Leg RM32.00
The next dish we had was the roasted chicken leg. The chicken was very meaty and deboned, roasted nicely to release fantastic flavors and aroma while retaining its juiciness. The meat comes with a lots of mashed potatoes, soft with buttery fragrance, and fresh mushroom that was not only big but, fleshy and aromatic, and so was the buttered vegetables.
 
 
 
Australian Prime Beef Ribeye with Yorkshire Pudding and Horseradish Sauce (Christmas's Menu)
3 Course Meal @ RM65.00++

From 4th of December to 28th of December, 3' Course Christmas Meal is available at Kudos. The choice of main course include the highlight dish, Australian Prime Beef Ribeye with Yorkshire Pudding and Horseradish sauce. The beef was packed with a meaty, prime rib flavour, yet melt in your mouth. It was served with fantastic Yorkshire pudding which tasted fluffy, light and tasty and delicious roasted potatoes.
 
 
 
All main course from the Christmas's Menu comes with Creamed Leeks, Glazed Carrot, Buttered Garden Peas and Braised Red Cabbage.

Oven Baked Norwegian Salmon with Fennel, Tomato and Green Pesto
(All Main Course are served with Roast Potatoes, Creamed Leeks, Glazed Carrots, Buttered Garden Peas and Braised Red Cabbage)

Mushroom Stroganoff RM28.00
Mouth-watering Mushroom in thyme sauce served with buttered rice and golden vegetables is a vegetarian's friendly dish available in the daily Menu. The aromatic and fleshy mushroom smothered with creamy thyme sauce tasted light but delicious. 
 
 
 
Risotto 
The Seafood Risotto is a favourite Italian recipe across the world. This dish is served hot to your table to ensure that you can best savours its rich creaminess. The risotto was infused with succulent taste from the seafood and aromatic herbs and spices.

Wicked Whiskey Pots RM12.00
The name sake explained it all. The premium Belgium chocolate mixed with Whisky to add more character.
 
Traditional Apple and Berry Crumble RM12.00
The Traditional Apple and Berry Crumble is family favourite with a crunchy golden brown topping accompanied by smooth custard. Slightly sweetish and sourish in taste, it is an appetizingly good yet comforting dessert.
