SUNDAY LUNCH BUFFET AND DINNER BUFFET AT LOBBY LOUNGE, SHANGRI-LA HOTEL, KUALA LUMPUR



Sunday is a special day for dining with family and friends and there is no better place to be than at the Lobby Lounge, Shangri-La Hotel, Kuala Lumpur. A wide variety of scrumptious food from different cuisines are on the Lunch Buffet and Dinner Buffet at the Lobby Lounge. At the Lunch Buffet there will also be play activities for children while at the Dinner Buffet, a live band performs as you dine. Lunch is from 12 noon to 3pm while dinner is from 6.30pm to 10.30pm. Both the Lunch Buffet and Dinner Buffet are priced at RM140 nett for adults, and RM70 nett for children.


At the Sunday Lunch Buffet, take your pick of oysters, yabbies, prawns and Japanese clams at the Fresh Live Seafood Station, then savour caviar on buckwheat blinis at the Caviar and Fish Roe Station. At the Atlantic Salmon Station is house-smoked Norwegian salmon and gravlax, and spicy Thai-style marinated salmon.

Gourmet western and Asian salads such as Grilled Tiger Prawns with pomelo and citrus dressing, Poached Sea Scallop with fine bean salad, Spicy Thai Marinated Beef Salad and Hokkaido Snow Crab Salad with chilli dressing are on the buffet.

Smoked duck and beef, BBQ chicken and duck are at the Charcuterie Station while different kinds of sushi are at the Japanese Station.

The carvery serves up Australian Grain-fed Prime Beef and Oven Roasted Leg of Lamb.

Hot dishes include Wok-fried Assam Tiger Prawns, Steamed Pomfret, Cantonese Style, Waxed Duck Fried Rice, Crab Gratin and Diver Scallops Thermidor, among others.

Irresistible desserts are on the buffet, including Pandan Panacotta with caramelised mango chunks, Cappucino cake, Coconut Rice with mango, Tiramisu, Churos, Waffles, Chestnut Cream Pie and ice cream in several flavours.

The Sunday Dinner Buffet features similar cold appetisers, seafood, Atlantic salmon and caviar. There is the Japanese Sushi station and Charcuterie section.

Gourmet salads include Kyuri Salad with Tzatziki dressing, Lamb Salad with snow peas and spicy vinaigrette and Potato Salad with Beef Brisket and Aioli.

The carvery offers Australian Grain-fed Prime Beef and Slow Roasted Stuffed NZ Leg of Lamb.

Among the hot dishes are Braised Beef Stew with Spices, Satay Celup, Stir-fried Giant Scallops with Asparagus and Stir-fried Tiger Prawns with Nyonya Gravy.

There is a lavish showcase of desserts from the Macaron Tower to crepes and pancakes, Crème Brulee, Lemon Chiffon Pie and Pistachio Cherry Compote Tiramisu.
