Shuang Pi Nai (双皮奶) - Double Layered Milk Pudding & Mixed-Flavor Beef Haslet

"Steamed milk in two films," or shuang pi nai (双皮奶), this popular dessert hailing from Guangzhou is made of milk, egg white, and sugar, and it can be eaten hot or cold. I would highly recommend you to try Nanxin Shuang Pi Nai if you are in Guangzhou, you will not know what you are missing till you try it. The shop was packed at all time of the day despite having 2 level of seating capacity but we manage to get a shared table with the locals.

My bowl of hot steamed milk pudding (RMB12.00) has a wobbly, light and incredibly silky smooth and creamy texture. It has a pure sweetened milk, with no trace of the egg white holding it together. This dessert is made from a mixture of milk of water buffalo, egg white and sugar. Apparently, water buffalo milk is used because only water buffalo milk can coagulate when cooled.
Mixed-Flavor Beef Haslet and Radish (RMB13.00)
In this dish beef shoulder and lung are stewed on a slow fire for hours in a sauce that contains five seasonings including bell peppers and star anise. Those beef haslet is cut into thin slices and you'll add some pickle before you eat it to enhance the flavour, it's quite a delightful culinary experienced.

Guangzhou Street Food looks interesting and it's cheap, you can ask the locals where to get the best street food, people here are friendly....they'll be eager to tell you.
