This restaurant is famed for handmade noodles in starchy black soy sauce together with vegetables, meat and pork lard or better known as Loh Mee and another specialty dish here is the Fried Fish Cake comes with a sweet and spicy dip sauce. Aside from the famous Ulu Yam Loh Mee, they also features the typical Chinese course and dishes to be served with steamed rice.
Ulu Yam is a main town in Selangor and is also a transit point to the Genting Highlands Resort after Batang Kali, Malaysia. It is famous for its loh mee, and is especially popular among residents of nearby Kuala Lumpur. Loh Mee was founded by Hock Choon Kee, which was the 1st generation resident during the Emergency period in Malaya back then, he was exiled to Ulu Yam by the British administration due to his involvement in Communist activities and running a prostitution ring that stretched from Kuala Kubu Baru to Kuala Selangor.

Cube size beancurd, freshly deep fried, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, tasted appetising with sweet and sour Thai chilli sauce
 
Loh Mee, RM12
A good bowl of springy noodles, the broth was dark and thick and it came with vegetable, pork and fried pork lard. Consistency of broth is perfect, cling onto the noodles but not too over starchy in the mouth. Best add in a touch of black vinegar before you eat it.
