TAT Boosts Up Thai Tourism with Hot Year-End Sales Campaign “Amazing Thailand Grand Sale "Passport Privileges"



The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) launched its year-end Amazing Thailand Grand Sale promotion with a unique “Passport Privileges” twist, targeting arrivals from short-haul markets offering big savings and privileges on a wide range of popular services and goods at participating venues including department stores, restaurants, hotels, hospitals, spas and various shops, exclusively for tourists from Thailand’s neighboring countries.

TAT Governor, Mr. Yuthasak Supasorn reveals that Amazing Thailand Grand Sale “Passport Privileges” is intended to promote Thailand as a shopping, medical and leisure destination to those tourists from ASEAN, East Asia and South Asia. “TAT has been working with our partners both public and private sectors to offer “Passport Privileges” to the tourists. The new initiative runs from 15 November 2018 until 15 January 2019, which is an ideal time to visit and spend enjoyable moment in Thailand during festive season.”
The special campaign “Passport Privileges” is packed with promotions in various provinces, including in Bangkok, Phuket, Tak, Chiang Mai and Surin - as well as in Nong Khai and Udon Thani to offer special deals and extra discounts ‘On Top’ to the existing promotions once the visitors to Thailand simply present their passport when shopping or using services at service providers taking part in the Amazing Thailand Grand Sale campaign.
In addition, in Mae Sot, Tak, Shopping & Dinning promotion is also endorsed for local shoppers to spend for double privileges. Just purchase THB500 at participating stores, the receipt can be redeemed to win special prizes, e.g. motorbike, LED TV, gold necklace and many more.
In Nong Khai and Udon Thani. TAT brought a super star, Nadech Kugimiya to join the running activity ‘Nong Khai ASEAN Marathon 2018’, which is an annual event of the province, as well as to exclusively welcome Lao tourists in Meet & Greet party. Lao tourists who spent up to THB1,000 in Nong Khai and Udon Thani, they were eligible to join Nadech’s Meet & Greet or running with him in Nong Khai ASEAN Marathon 2018. All activities were aimed to encourage Lao travelers to take leisure, shopping, stay overnight and participate in various enjoyable activities in Thailand.
