Kao Chi @ Yongkang Street, Taipei

Angeline Monday, April 20, 2015 , , , ,

Apart from Din Tai Fung, Kao Chi in Yongkang Street is another famous restaurant for Xiao Long Bao. Since 1949, about 8 years before Din Tai Fung opened its gates, Kao-chi has been serving Shanghainese dishes in Taipei.

Liu Sha Bao (Creamy Butter Bun)
The texture of the bao is rather interesting. Its refined texture and creamy filling made the bao tasted so delicious till the last bite.
Lotus Seed Dessert
Xiao Long Bao
Served hot in a steaming basket, the Xiao Long Bao has a delectable taste with fresh and juicy pork filling.

Sheng Jian Bao (Pan-fried Pork Bun)
The pan-fried pork buns is their specialty. This highly recommended dish consists of steamed pork buns fried in a cast iron plate. It was crispy on the outside but juicy on the inside.
