Brotzeit offers both indoor and outdoor dining options, in a chic and contemporary styled Bavarian cuisine restaurant. If you're complaining about paying a hefty price for food here, then come during lunch hours, Brotzeit goes light on their lunch menu featuring the Bavarian meat loaf sandwich, Lumberjack steak, boiled ham sandwich and mozzarella gratinated pork fillet. Sides come with a choice of traditional Bavarian Coleslaw, salad, wedges or shoe string fries. Complimentary dessert is available when you order soup or salad with any main course. Prices range under RM20.

Legend Coffee Tea (previously name Coffee and Tea) has relocated to a bigger shop lot next to Nando's and added more variety of food on their menu too. This cafe is easily noticeable with its huge crowds during peak hours. From Kuching Laksa, Soup Noodle to Fried Rice and Macau Pork/ Chicken Bun, the cafe serves decent yet affordable meal which attracted many staffs as well as shop-goers patronizing.

K.Sanba's Curry Specials @ Alamesra

We had banana leaf rice as our dinner at K.Sanba's, we ordered Chicken Curry and Curry Fish Head, the food had amazing flavor here especially their curry. The ambience is great, not stuffy, service was fast and parking was ample too. Bala's the restaurant owner and the staff here are very friendly and attentive to every table, you'll get a good interaction with Bala when you ordering your meal, he'll recommend you what to order.

New food stall opened at Food Garden, offering an affordable and tasty meal. All set meals come with rice or noodle, side dishes, appetiser and soup are price at RM13.90 - RM14.90 or you can try their Special Mix Combo Set RM23.90. You must try up their specialty "Tan Bao Fan"(rice wrapped in omelette), it's not only look appealing, it tasted as good as it looks. A wide variety of "Tan Bao Fan" on their menu (Price from: RM13.90 - RM19.90), from Spicy Tofu RM13.90, Sweet n Sour Prawn RM17.90 or Mix Shrimp n Chicken RM19.90. There are multiple food vendors set up in Food Garden, it's a self service eatery, so walk around and order what you like with the particular vendor and carry your own food to a table dining table.

Gaya Street Sunday Market

Gaya Street (Sunday Market) is the place to go on Sunday mornings for some retail therapy. It is located at the Kota Kinabalu Central Business District which has served as the centre for businesses for over a hundred years. Gaya Street is closed off to traffic every Sunday morning to make way for the fair. You can buy almost everything here. There are stalls which sell arts, craft, food, fruits, antiques and so much more. This indeed is the best place to experience the culture and the lives of the Sabahan families on a Sunday outing. The Gaya Street Fair starts as early as 6am in the morning until 1pm in the afternoon.

Sushi Tei is one of my personal favorite place for good quality and affordable Japanese cuisine. Conveniently located at Suria Sabah, it is a restaurant that I will visit from time to time. As you enter Sushi Tei, you are greeted by a cheerful group of sushi chefs and staff welcoming you to the restaurant. This is a classy and elegant Japanese restaurant that provides table and sushi bar seating. Their signature open-kitchen concept allow you to watch how the fresh sushi being crafted and showcasing the chefs culinary skills to the diners. The menu spreads many popular traditional Japanese dishes like sushi, sashimi, assorted tempura, ramen/udon soup, teriyaki and special hand rolls.

Kedai Kopi Sin Houng Kee, Bandaran Berjaya Kota Kinabalu

Yu Chap" or loosely translated as Mixed Fish, is one of the significant dish in Sabah. Consists of fish lips, fish stomach, fish skin, fish head, fish puff and assorted fish cakes, Yu Chap is one of the exotic dish that you can find in Sabah. One of my personal favourite place for a dose of Yu Chap is at Kedai Kopi Sin Houng Kee.

The Colosseum is probably the most famous landmark in Rome. Built in the 1st century AD, this great arena could seat 45,000 spectators and was the largest Roman amphitheater in the world.  It hosted gladiatorial combats, spectacles with wild beasts and possibly the execution of early Christians. Throughout the Middle Ages, the Colosseum was believed to be a place of martyrdom and was therefore regarded as a sacred place.

If you are looking for a simple and good value Roman trattoria, this is likely one of it, located close to Terminal Station and hotels in Rome. You wont be let down by staff and food at Capitello, nice small Italian restaurant with fantastic home made pizzas at a reasonable price.

Ying Ker Lou @ The Gardens

Hakkas have a distinctive culture and history, with a lineage believed to be the decendants of the northern Hans people living in Shanxi, Henan and Hebei. As the named 'Hak' means 'guest' in Chinese character, as they are newcomers when they fled south plagued by wars and disasters during Eastern Jin Dynasty. Hakka cuisine, to some extent, was greatly influenced by their culture and living conditions during the migration. When fertile area had already been occupied by the locals, they need to roam far and wide for agricultural land. It required great physical strength. Hence traditional Hakka cuisine has these characteristics : salty, oily, flavourful and preserved.

Nasi Kandar Anak Mami @ Lintas

Nasi Kandar is a popular northern Malaysian dish, which originates from Penang. It is a meal of steamed rice which can be plain or mildly flavored, and served with a variety of curries and side dishes. In KK, Nasi Kandar is not widely available. However, it could still be find in Nasi Kandar Anak Mami which had two branches located in Bundusan and Lintas respectively.

Wu Jiao Chuan Ban @ Taipei, Taiwan

This awkward looking structure stands out from the rest, igniting a sense of wonderment and your oohs and aaahs. To top it off, its even a restaurant dishing out delicious Taiwanese cuisine. Not quite 'now I've seen it all'. But definitely one of a kind.
