Mai Yai Thai Orchid Restaurant at The Waterfront featuring a mouth watering line-up of Bangkok-style Thail food, it is a family managed restaurant owned by Abigail Mojugah and her Thai fiancé "Affan Mustofadee", focused on brining authentic Thai food experiences to Sabah. Their menu is packed with traditional Thai favourites, those you know well, and those you should definitely try. This place is decorated with orchids and scenic images of Thailand . There are around 117 items on the menu ranging from appetizers to desserts. Most dishes are available with meat, seafood or veggie only, and servings are big enough for 2 to 3 people.

Best-selling dishes: Gaeng Keaw Whan (Thai green curry), Tom Yam, Kaow Ob Sapparod (pineapple fried rice), Pla Mamoung (deep fried seabass with mango salad topping) and Mixed Seafood Platter. Some of their highly recommended dish the Thod Man Pla (homemade fish cake), Gai Hor Bai Toey (Pandan Chicken) and the Phad Med Ma Moung (stir fried chicken with cashew nuts served in sizzling plate). For dessert, tyr their Kaow Neow Mamoung (Mango Sticky Rice), a serving of fresh mango with the sweet and salty sticky rice topped with the creamy coconut milk.

Poo Ob Wunsen (Steamed Crab with Tang Hoon), RM30.90
For crab lovers, their are a few different choice of preparation available, don't hesitate to try it. This is a healthy version and yet delicious!

Nicely flavour and not oily at all...love it with lots of green...yummy!
