Chefs in action
Theme of the buffet "Malay Cuisine", let me introduce you the chef incharge Chef De Cuisine Tarapin Osip, Sous Chef De Cuisine Ismail Saidin and Executive Chef Tunku Farazil, for Ramadan, the team of chefs have really put their effort on making a perfect Ramadan berbuka puasa food for us.
Before you even reach Tanjung Ria Cafe, you already can smell the tempting aroma of cooking. I think is good to check out their buffet again on weekday and on my 2nd occasion I will know how's their food quality control. Guess what? Everything tasted and look as good as it has to be, for tonight, I'd just pick and choose a few dishes that I like for food tasting, still feeling fulled from last night buffet feasting.
Well, where should I start from now?
As we were here early today, it allowed us more time to take photos of the buffet spreads
I'm a big fan of Northern Indian food, if you're too then you must try their chicken tikka, naan and dhall here. Chef Gobin was brought in from Uttar Pradesh, Northern India 3 years ago, if you still remember they were promoting Northern Indian food at Hyatt but wasn't successful cause Sabahan or shall we say Malaysian prefer Southern Indian food more, e.g. Mamak food which the dhall are watery and hot compare to Northern Indian thick texture dhall, heavy on flavor or spices, less chili pipping hot and using more milk products for cooking, popular for their buttery dishes.
Chef in action, cooking Chickend Tikka
Chicken tikka (white) less spices flavor
Chicken Tikka (Red) more spices flavor, I'll pick this one
