Hot & Roll @ 1Borneo

Thinking of snacking in between meals? Try “Hot and Roll” at 1Borneo, although I don’t know whether or not they have their branch elsewhere.

Hot and roll serves sweet and savoury pastry, more specifically, you have a choice of base of either paratha or crispy wrap (aka French crepes).

You can then choose your choice of toppings a-la any pizza place. Your dish will be prepared in front of you on a hot plate. A look on the menu and you will be given suggestions of their specialty by an icon printed beside the name of the toppings.

On this particular mission, I chose pizza topping which consists of a generous amount of pepperoni, cheese, onion and also a generous serving of sour cream. After pan fried (sans oil), your crepe is folded into a triangle and put in a wrapper as such you are able to walk and enjoy your crepe at the same time. Alternatively, you can sit and enjoy your food at their bar.

I started eating mine from their stall, and finished it before I reach Padini. I must have attracted some funny gaze as I wore my semi-orgasmic look after I take each bite from the crepe. Naturally holding the pastry vertically, its innards tend to slightly fall to the base. Although this is not necessarily a bad thing, it does make one anticipate the juicy ending. And they don’t fail to deliver its goods, with rich aroma from the garlic compliments the tasty sour cream, and lightly spicy pepperoni. My only qualm is that the taste of sour cream tend to overwhelm the cheese which is almost non-existent.

Nonetheless, still a recommended haunt when looking for a quick bite, whilst totting your shopping bag at 1Borneo.

Try eating it on the pratha version. It tasted nice as well AND you'll have another FOODGASM. Hahahahaha! I love the beef bolognese and just had it yesterday. Muahahahaha. I love the sweet crepe too (chocolate banana or chocolate n strawberry). The official website for this is http://www.hotandroll.com/

I tried this when I was in KK a few weeks ago, at the shopping centre just opposite my apartment (cannot remember the name of the shopping centre). I ordered the one with chocolate chip. Nice.
